Soudal Quickstep has completed its roster for 2024 with the promotion of development team rider and Dutch U23 National Champion Pepijn Reindelink to the elite team through 2025, a dream move for a Dutch rider.

Soudal Quick Step announced 10 new riders at last week's team presentation, and along with Mikkel Landa, Gianni Moscon, American Luke Lamperti, and many other young riders, Reindelinck is the 11th rider signed up. Reindelink becomes the fifth rider to step up from the Srdal Quick-Step development team.

Reindelink had an impressive run in 2023, prompting Patrick Lefebvre's early promotion at the tender age of 21. Reindelinck will make his debut next week in the Challenge Mallorca One-Day Race from Suredal-Quick Step.

"It's a special feeling to go pro with a team I've always wanted to be a part of.

"I'm coming here after a great experience with the Devo team. I want to thank the team for having faith in me. I'm excited to be running at the highest level and can't wait to get started."

Reindelinck has moved on to the Sourdal Quickstep setup after two years with Development Team DSM, but his journey into cycling began with the high-profile Akrog Barren BC Junior Team.

The Belgian junior team has overseen the development of some of cycling's biggest stars, such as Remco Evenpole (Sourdal-Quickstep) and Yasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) Reinderink has also been a part of the same young prospects, Cian Uijtdebroeks (Visma-Lease a Bike) and was there at the same time as his current teammate William Junior Lecerf.

Lecerf and Reindelinck were joined by Gil Gelders, Walle Van Geluwe, and Jordi Wallop, two of the five riders promoted internally to the World Tour Squad. [Luke Lamperti (21) and Paul Manier (19) join from Trinity Racing and will make their neo-pro debuts in 2024.

The highlight of Rheindelink's season was his solo victory in the U23 Dutch National Championships, where he attacked relentlessly throughout the day, eventually pulling away from the pack on the way to Sittard Geleen and winning by 20 seconds.

He also had two top-10 finishes at the Giro NextGen and won the opening stage of the Triptych Ardennes.

The team described him as "a spectacular rider who likes to liven up the race with impressive long-distance attacks."

Team manager Patrick Lefebvre believes he can take advantage of this racing skill, along with a strong foundation to run at the World Tour level.

"Payne impressed us last season not only with his success on the road, but also with his work ethic.

"He can climb and time trial and loves to attack. We believe in young riders and supporting them, and this transfer, the fifth rider to join us this year after spending the season with our Devo team, confirms that this project is a solid one."
