10/19 (Thursday) At Buckley Park in Mountain Town, Colorado, the homecoming celebration of Cep Kus (Jumbo・Visma) from Durango will be held.
The popular 29-year-old, called Sepptember last month, flashed the red leader's jersey of the Vuelta a España and a wide smile from the podium in Madrid just two weeks ago, earning worldwide acclaim for being the first U.S. rider in a decade to win the grand tour.

The celebration will begin with a public speech and Q&A session by Kuss and will be hosted by Durango Devo for 1 of its most notable alumni. People of all ages are then invited to participate, followed by a bike parade, a signing session with Kuss, live music and food. We also offer Sep-Kus products.
Admission is free and there is limited parking in downtown areas, so organizers strongly encouraged participants to ride bicycles to participate in the event and "embrace the spirit of cycling."

We are honored to host the Vuelta a España champion and stage winner of the Tour de France and celebrate his achievements in his hometown, and he is a great example of what makes Durango Debo and the Durango cycling community special," said the executive director of Durango Debo. "We are excited to announce the launch of our new product line," said Levy Carlander, Executive Director.
Durango is home to the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, the annual beat the train from Durango to Silverton, and Fort Lewis College, which supports the success of the Division I college cycling program for Men and women.
The organizers said that the mountain town could add another claim to fame, the home of the "Eagle of Durango".
Kusu, along with his wife Noemi, currently makes his residence as a professional cyclist in Andorra. Growing up in the mountains of Durango, Kus rode mountain bikes in his development program and later focused on road racing. His first UCI stage race victory came in 2018 at Utah Rally H.It is a mirror tour and after 2 weeks he competed in his first Vuelta at the age of 24.
