Caleb Ewan has confirmed that he will race the 2024 tour under jayco-AlUla
Organizers of the Santos Tour Down Under confirmed that Caleb Ewan will stand at the starting line to compete with his new team Jayco-AlUla in 2024.

Ewan is the nine-time stage winner in his home WorldTour race, and he and his team will compete in the men's event held on 1/16-21 in and around Adelaide, Australia

"I have always enjoyed racing in Adelaide. It's a great way to start the year and the support you get from the Australian crowd is incredible," Ewan said.

"I feel I have an unfinished business on the Santos tour and I can't wait to race for team Jayco-AlUla on May 1 this year and get back there."

Ewan is the first rider the organizers have confirmed to compete in the 2024 edition.

Ewan ended his contract with Lotto-Dstny 1 year earlier and the announcement from Jayco-AlUla will soon return to the team where he started his career and ensure that in 2014 he will move from the development team to the WorldTour level.

Ewan, stage winner of the Tour de France and Giro D'Italia, He will join a team of powerful sprinters including compatriots Michael Matthews and Dylan Grunewegen at next year's jayco-AlUla.

Ewan left Lotto-Dstny after a season of tension and disappointment. About half of his 61 career pro wins were secured during his 5 seasons in the lotto. But in 2023, he won only 1 event. He was nearing victory in the early sprint at the Tour de France, but struggled on the mountain stage in the middle and was abandoned in Stage 13.

Stuart O'Grady, race director at Santos Tour Down Under, said it was a major coup to have Ewan's caliber riders on the start line and Ewan chose three of the stages he targeted.

"Caleb comes out to prove that he is 1 of the fastest sprinters on Earth. He's a fan favorite on down under on the Santos tour and can expect to challenge Ziptrak Men's Stage1Tanunda to Tanunda, Stage3Tea Tree Gully to Campbelltown and Hahn Stage4Murray Bridge to Port Elliot," O'Grady said.
