Nils Pollitt will move to UAE team Emirates next season after signing a three-year contract until the end of 2026. The move comes from Bora Hansgrohe, where he spent the past three seasons.
The 29-year-old will strengthen UAE Team Emirates' classic squad and make up for the loss of Matteo Trentin, who is set to move to Tudor Pro Cycling next year.
Pollitt finished second in Paris-Roubaix in 2019 and won a stage in Nimes in the 2021 Tour de France. He has seven career wins, most recently winning the German time trial title in June.
"I am really excited to be running with UAE Team Emirates for the next few years," Pollitt said in a statement released by his new team on Thursday.
"It's one of the biggest teams in the world and a new step in my career. I am really looking forward to the next three years."
Porit is the second newcomer announced by UAE Team Emirates since the transfer market opened on August 1. The team has already announced that Pavel Sivakov will join from Ineos on a three-year contract in 2024.
"We are very pleased to welcome Nils to the team. He has a proven pedigree as a very strong rider and will strengthen our classic team as well as our stage race team." We hope to work together for a long time."
