Veteran sprinter Alexander Kristoff will lead a talented group of young riders that includes Rasmus Tiller, Tobias Halland Johannessen, Søren Werenskjold, and Torstein Traen.
All eight riders hail from Norway and Denmark, and Uno-X, a wildcard invitee from race organizer ASO, will make his Tour de France debut.
Uno-X will be aiming for a sprint finish with 35-year-old Kristoff, who joined the team in 2023. He has won four Tour stages in his long career, the last of which earned him the first yellow jersey of the 2020 event.
Others will be looking for a breakaway, while Halland Johannessen will test his mettle in the Grand Tours.
Tiller won the Duracell-Doire Het Hoegeland in the Netherlands, while 2022 time trial world champion Søren Werenskjold won the time trial last week in Barroise-Bergietour to finish second overall.
Halland Johannessen won the 2021 Tour de Lavenir and placed third in the mountain stage of the Criterium du Dauphiné.
Jonas Gregaard, Jonas Abrahamsen, and Anson Scharmig are also on the eight-man roster.
Tholen continued his impressive recovery from testicular cancer, finishing eighth overall in the Dauphiné. He was contacted by anti-doping authorities on May 13 after the tumor marker human chorionic gonadotropin was detected in his samples, indicating that he had early detection of cancer.
Uno-X will stand out in the peloton with its bright yellow and red livery, but will have a different look at the Tour de France and Tour de France Femme because of a new sponsorship from supermarket chain REMA 1000.
The REMA1000 logo and its own branded "R" series will feature prominently on the new red-colored jerseys used in the world's biggest races.
Anders Halland Johannessen, Erik Rissel, and Martin Ullianstad are the official reserve riders in case any of the eight riders are unable to race.
The team will head to Bilbao with an aggressive, wholehearted, and very positive attitude, with the goal of representing Norwegian and Danish cycling. Uno-X will be chasing stage wins. That is our big dream for 2023," team manager Jens Haugland said in a blog post after announcing the team live on Facebook. [The team is divided into two main groups. The "Classics group" gives Alex a chance to sprint for the win, and some of the stronger runners are in this group. Especially Torstein and Tobias. Gregard and Charmig also bring an X-factor that will be a force in the breakaway stages.
"There have been a lot of tough discussions, but there are leaders who are proud of the group. I am proud of the riders in the Tour and proud of the development of the team as a whole. I don't plan on looking back."
