Women's Week in Cycling News: Post-Ride Recap

As you may have already noticed, Cycling News has a themed week each month; some are seasonal, such as Winter Week in November or Travel Week in January, while others are themed around the topic itself. June's "Gravel Week" is an example of the latter. and while there is no "season" and we cover the topic year-round, it is a topic worth covering and there is much to discuss. This week's topic is a mix of both.

Cycling News welcomes readers to "Women's Week," March 6-12 (which conveniently coincides with International Women's Day, March 8), with exclusive interviews, features, blogs, technology, advice, and more.

Women's Week is not the only time we cover women's cycling in Cycling News, as we have been dedicated to women's cycling since 1995. Our technical and racing teams cover the news from women's cycling and the women's peloton with an unmatched level of tenacity and commitment. Recently, we've had live race coverage and in-depth reports like the exciting teammate showdown at Strade Bianche, exclusive interviews, tech galleries of athletes' bikes like Ellen Van Dyk's stunning Trek time trial bike, and, of course, menstrual It also includes everyday subjects like cycling.

But there is no reason why we can't focus more than usual on cycling. Our goal is to help answer questions that women new to the sport may face, to highlight the talented, hardworking, and inspirational women in our sport, and to celebrate the growth of women's cycling as a whole.

This week, we will be looking at some amazing images of current Road World Champion Annemieke van Fluten's race bike. There is also a feature comparing the differences between men's and women's helmets and an updated Buyer's Guide. We also have interviews with Annemieke van Fluten, Lizzie Dayanan, Allison Jackson, and more, an interesting feature on how African women are breaking the glass ceiling, an introduction to Nancy Neiman Baranet's career, and much more.

In Cycling News' Women's Week, enjoy stories on the female peloton (both the literal professional peloton and the broader metaphorical "peloton"). If you liked this article and would like to enjoy more stories, you have unlimited access.

If you came here looking for bike-buying advice, the following articles are just right. Mildred Locke, an experienced technical contributor who has held full-time roles in various major cycling magazines, including here at Cycling News, has spent a lot of time diving into the world of women's bikes. She previously wrote a great feature, "Can Women Ride Men's Bikes?" and this week she focuses on the best bikes for women in a great feature called "Can Women Ride Men's Bikes?
