Ribble Celebrates 125th Anniversary with Gold Leafed Bike and New Aero Prototype

As always, the cycling world is in transition and change. The best road bikes continue to capture the imaginations of riders around the world with podium finishes on historic roads. But at the same time, everyday riders have come to find adventure away from the hustle and bustle of modern roads on the best gravel bikes. It no longer matters where you ride, there is a drop bar option for every situation. If you look carefully, both options have one thing in common: they both include rivulets.

The only constant in life is change, and so it is in cycling. Over the past few years, the bicycle industry has been rocking and changing. Gears have increased, bikes have gotten lighter, tires have gotten bigger and slipperier, and Ribble has adapted to all of it. For the past 125 years, the brand has adapted and changed with the industry. Today, you can opt for a radical aerobike or look for inspiration from the past in round metal tubes, but either way, Ribble can do it. Now the brand is ready to take a victory lap, and you can be a part of it.

What sets Ribble apart is the level of customization available on every bike the brand carries. Each model comes with recommended assembly options, but if you're a stickler for detail, you can change every component until you find the perfect bike. When you're ready, the bikes can be shipped to 46 countries, and the Ribble 125 campaign continues this trend of customization by offering something even more unique as an option.

Find a bike that resonates with you, customize it to match your style, and check out CustomColour. You'll find options for sapphire blue, emerald green, and ruby red marble effect paint finishes. This effect is unique to Ribble, but due to the process used, it is also unique to every bike to which it is applied. No two bikes will have the exact same marble area. In addition, the bike has contrasting 24-karat gold leaf detailing, including a gold 125 head badge, wheel detailing, and a gold top cap.

While special paint and detailing is an option on nearly every bike Ribble sells, the brand is introducing three special pieces as part of the announcement. The first of these is a road option that already stands out like no other: we covered it when the Ribble Ultra SL R was launched, and if you don't remember, calling it unique is an understatement. The bike has been aero-tested to take a holistic view of the rider and frame, introducing new concepts such as no bar tape on the handlebars and added bulges to reduce aerodynamic drag. It is also available in a glitter finish that is sure to stand out. If this still isn't enough for you, the 125th Anniversary Package is a great option. The [125 build starts with a sapphire blue marble with gold leaf detailing finish on the frame, fork, seatpost, bars, and even the full carbon SL R Boost Tekno SuperFlow saddle. SRAM RED AXS was chosen for the groupset, and a gold Kapz Custom 125 logo top cap and gold Custom 125 logo head badge add an extra touch of glamour. To finish off the look, the most eye-catching wheelset available for this bike, the Level Tri Spoke wheelset and Custom 125 graphics, were installed.

If you feel more comfortable seeking a slightly rougher route off the beaten path, Ribble has highlighted something for you as well: the Gravel Ti, Ribble's offering for the gravel racer and explorer, Triple-butted titanium tubing provides clearance for 700x45mm tires and a mount for bikepacking. If you build your own bike, the 125th Edition offers half of the frame in a choice of three colors, with the other half in titanium.

This time, Ribble chose emerald green for the frame, carbon fork, and seat post. The groupset is Campagnolo's Ekar 13, with Enve carbon bars and stem, and Fizik's Antares Versus Evo 00 Adaptive saddle. Gold Kapz Custom 125 logo top cap, gold Custom 125 logo head badge, and Mavic Ultimate T disc wheel detailing are all 125-specific details.

The last bike highlighted by Ribble bucks the trend. The other bikes are top-build options, but you can make them your own if you have the means. As mentioned above, this finish could be applied to a lower budget build.

However, no amount of deep pockets will get you this last bike, which Ribble calls the Allroad SLe 125 Prototype, which, as you'll have to guess on your own, looks a lot like a nearly finished e-bike. The Allroad tag, Mahle electric assist, and Ultra aero details may soon be available as options.

The Ribble 125 Anniversary Edition design is available immediately for £1,299 and is available online or in showrooms from CustomColour. For more informationhttps://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/125-anniversary(新しいタブで開きます)をご覧ください。
