The UCI Cyclocross World Cup gets underway in Iowa City on Saturday with the first round of warm, dry and fast racing to determine the first leader of the 2019-2020 series.

Defending champion Toon Arts (Telenet-Fidea) leads a talented Belgian contingent that includes former U23 world champion Eli Iserbitt, Michael Van Tulenhout, and Laurens Sweck.

With world champion Mathieu van der Pol committed to the road world championships and Wout Van Aert injured, the Dutch team led by Lars van der Haar and Korne van Kessel will lead the race. [The Americans are National Champion Steven Hyde and Pan American Champion Curtis White.

The men's race will take place at 3:00 pm (local time) and the women's at 4:45 pm (local time).

Mountain bike star Jolanda Neff (Trek-Segafredo), teammate Evie Richards, Pan American Champion Magali Rochette, Ellen Van Roy (Telenet Fidea), and Katerina Nash (Luna) will lead the international athletes, while U.S. Champion Katie Compton, Katie Keogh, and Ellen Noble will lead the American contingent.
