Polish rider Katarzyna Niewiadoma has signed a two-year contract extension with Canyon-SRAM.
"I am really happy to extend my contract with Canyon-SRAM," she said.
"This year especially I feel like this is where I belong and where I belong. I feel completely myself in the team. It makes me happy and content.
Since joining Canyon-SRAM in 2018 after working with the Rabobank-Liv and WM3 Energie teams, Niwiadoma has won the Trofeo Alfredo Binda and Amstel Gold Ladies Race, the OVO Energy Women 's Tour and a stage win in the Giro Rosa, and has worn the Maglia Rosa on five stages this year. [Canyon-SRAM team manager Ronnie Lauke said, "Kasia has made a huge impact on the team for two seasons. She has always achieved special victories with great style and spirit." With the strong support of her teammates, Kasia has won races with her heart and courage.
"She is one of the young riders still at the top end of the sport who needs to discover how far she can reach," said Lauke, "and we are very happy that she has trusted us to help her push her current limits to new heights."
Nienyadoma has carved out a place for herself on the team in good times and bad.
"There were many moments and races where myself and my teammates learned a lot about ourselves and each other. 'Sometimes it was hard and we hated each other, but now we can laugh about it. We now know what we want out of our cycling careers and how each of us can achieve that ambition. I feel we are a very cohesive group and this is important to me for the team."
"It's one of the reasons I extended my contract. I don't want to run to another team environment. I want to build on what I have accomplished and what I have learned."
