Lauren Doran, who was part of the British team that won bronze in the mixed relay team time trial at the Yorkshire World Championships on Sunday, was injured in an accident in her home county of Devon, a local website reported.

According to devonlive.com, Dolan's accident occurred between Teignmouth and Dawlish on Tuesday around noon, less than 48 hours after the 20-year-old won the bronze medal.

"After initial treatment at Torbay Hospital, Dolan was taken by his father and coach Mark to the GB (Cycling) Medical Center in Manchester for further evaluation and possible surgery," a report said Wednesday.

Dolan, from Bicton near Newton Abbot, followed the first leg run by the GB trio of Dan Biggum, Harry Tanfield, and John Archibald, with Anna Henderson and Jocelyn Lowdon in the mixed relay team time trial format of the World Championships The team ran the second leg (14km) of the race. She gave the team an early lead, but was then edged out by the German and then Dutch winners, who finished a somewhat surprising third.
