Elinor Beckstedt signs with Trek Segafredo

British rider Elinor Beckstedt, who won a bronze medal at the world championships held in her home country, has signed a three-year contract with the Trek-Segafredo team. Trek-Segafredo announced the signing of two world champions earlier this week, junior road race winner Quinn Simmons and time trial winner Antonio Tiberi.

Beckstedt, 17, won Gent-Wevelgem, took two stage wins and the overall win at EPZ Omloop van Borsle, and finished second overall in the Healthy Aging Tour Junior Women.

"I'm very excited to be joining Trek-Segafredo in 2020. I'm not quite sure what it feels like yet and I can't wait to meet everyone on the team." Trek-Segafredo, along with Canyon Slam, Mitchelton-Scott, CCC-Liv, Movistar, Team Sunweb, Yale-Cipollini, and FDJ, are the new UCI Worlds guaranteed entry to the UCI Women's World Tour event Team is one of eight teams competing for the team license.
