World Championships: Controversy in the U23 Men's Race - Podcast

The morning after the U23 men's race at the UCI Road World Championships, one can only begin with the UCI Jury's decision to disqualify Nils Ehoff (Netherlands) and award the rainbow jersey to Samuele Battistella (Italy).

Ehoff finished first in Harrogate after a seven-man sprint, but an hour after the finish it was announced that the UCI jury was still investigating the result.

Another hour later, Ehoff left the race in tears. His crime was drafting after crashing with around 120km to go; it was only after the race that the UCI reviewed the footage, which of course led to a huge uproar from fans, journalists, and fellow riders. This was arguably the biggest story of the race so far.

We hear from Ehoff, his national coach, Tom Pidcock, who fell from fourth to third as a result, and the UCI.
