UAE Team Emirates signed Valerio Conti to a two-year deal through the 2021 season, while France's AG2R La Mondiale moved to acquire 2019 Giro d'Italia stage winner Nance Peters and American Larry Walbus.
Conti has been part of the UAE team's Emirates program since his Lampre days, first signing with the team as a trainee in 2013. Conti won a stage of the Vuelta a EspaƱa in 2016, but the Italian has proven to be a valuable domestique over time, as the team looks to back up 2019 Vuelta podium finisher Tadej Pogacar with a stable of young riders. His experience will be a big boost as the team adds to its stable of young riders to back up 2019 Vuelta podium finisher Tadej Pogacar.
"I am very happy to tie my future to UAE Team Emirates," Conti said in a statement provided by the team. I hope to return in the next two seasons and find again the good form I had in the first half of 2019."
"I feel fortunate to be involved in such a project that is growing every year and adding so many great riders. The enthusiasm and atmosphere within the team is something special as well."
AG2R La Mondiale's Peters, 25, scored the biggest win of his career on stage 17 of this year's Giro d'Italia, holding off Esteban Chaves (Mitchelton-Scott) for a summit finish in Antholtz. He has been with the French team since 2017 and his new contract runs through 2022.
Warbus, the 2017 U.S. champion, won a stage win in the Tour de Suisse with Aqua Blue Sport in 2017 and fit in well with his new team in his first year with the French program. The 29-year-old also signed a one-year contract, which will run through 2022, and he will be a member of the French team for the next two years.
"I'm really happy to announce that I'm staying with @AG2RLMCyclisme for another year," Warbus wrote on Twitter. 'Looking forward to continuing this cycling journey and giving it my all on the road. But first, a few more beautiful races in Italy to end 2019!"
