Malecki and Samitier Step Up to World Tour Level at CCC and Movistar - Transfer shorts

After spending the past five seasons with the CCC Development Team, Kamil Malecki will compete on the World Tour with the Polish CCC team in 2020.

"It's a dream come true for me. I'm really proud to be representing the first Polish WorldTour team in cycling. It's hard to put into words, but it's a great feeling to have reached this stage in my career."

"Over the next year I want to continue to grow and progress as a rider and do my best to be a strong rider for the team and help them in every race. I want to make the most of this opportunity," said Malecki.

"In addition to taking stage and overall wins in 2.2 races in Poland, including the CCC-sponsored CCC Tour-Grody Piastowskie, Kamil also showed his potential in the classics, missing out on a top 10 finish in Volta Limburg. He was also a top-10 finisher in Volta Limburg," added Jim Ochowicz, the CCC team's general manager.

"Kamil will have the chance to learn from experienced riders and continue to develop as a rider."

Spanish climber Sergio Samitier will join the Spanish World Tour and Movistar in 2020.

The 24-year-old, who was aggressive in the mountains at this year's Vuelta a España, will make the step up to the sport's top ranks ahead of his current team, Pro Continental-level Euskadi Murias, which will disband this year.

Samitier won the mountains prize at this year's Tour of the Alps and was part of the main breakaway group on stage 15 of the Vuelta, attacking on the final climb of the Alto del Acebo, only to be caught by Sep Kuss of Jumbo Visma and ultimately miss out on the stage win.

However, Samitier was awarded the "Combat Award" after the stage and finished third overall in the Vuelta's mountain competition.

Italian professional continental team Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè announced that it would extend the contracts of Vincenzo Albanese, Mirko Maestri, and Alessandro Tonelli until 2020.

"They all deserve contract renewals for three different reasons," team manager Roberto Reverberi said in a press release.

"Albanese has the potential to be a winning rider and we will work together to make 2020 a fresh start. Maestri embodies the forward spirit of our team and we look forward to assurance. Tonelli is our team man and a fundamental element in integrating the new group," he said, adding that the three riders are among the 10 who will remain on the team in 2020.

Another 10 riders have signed new contracts for next season, marking the beginning of a new era for the Italian team.

"We wanted to do a deep renewal and I am confident that we have built a competitive and well-equipped team," said Rebelli, who completed the team's registration with 20 riders for 2020.
