Trek Segafredo today announced the re-signing of four riders for next season, completing the 2020 roster for the women's team and increasing the number of full-time road riders from 12 to 14.
The team announced that Audrey Cordon-Lago, Lauretta Hanson, Anna Prikta, and Abi Van Tuysk have renewed their contracts for next season.
These six riders will join Elizabeth Deignan, Lotta Lepisto, Elisa Longo Borghini, Letizia Paternoster, Ellen van Dijk, Taylor Wiles, Ruth Winder, and Trixie Wallack on the 2020 team.
"With the addition of Lucinda Brand, the team looks to be very strong next year. 'I think my role will be to share my experience with the younger players and help them grow. Personally, I want to continue to help the team as much as I can, and I want to challenge myself when I get the chance, just like I was able to finish the race in Drentze."
Hansen is one of the riders who has benefited from the team's experienced staff.
"This year has given me the opportunity to focus on my growth and development. Next year we will have two strong riders on the same team, so I want to take what I learned this year, seize the opportunity, and work hard for my teammates."
Twiske, 22, said he is excited and motivated to learn from the team leaders for another season with Trek.
"Being surrounded by such impressive and inspirational riders and staff creates a great environment to race in. This year has been a huge learning experience for me and I can't wait to go into 2020 with more experience and help win some races together."
The 27-year-old Polish time trial champion Prihita said he is looking forward to more results in the team's second year.
"This year went well in general," she said. I was able to develop myself and achieve some personal goals, like winning the national title in the time trial. The team gave me good opportunities to race aggressively, and we got to know each other better after a season of racing together.
