Eli Iserbyt (Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal) took his second win of the series at round 3 in Gavere, Belgium, on Sunday, while 777 rider Yara Kastelijn also won to take the overall lead.

Yzerbitt missed the second round of the Superprestige in Boom last week to prepare for the World Cup in Bern, Switzerland, the following day. However, with the next round of the World Cup not taking place until mid-November, Yzerbitt returned and once again earned maximum points.

Overall leader to Gavere, Quinten Hermanns, took the lead after winning the cyclocross race in Bellingen on Saturday ahead of Telenet Baloise Lions teammate Toon Arts and Britain's Tom Pidcock (Trinity Racing). must have been confident of his chances to defend his lead. Previous series leader Sanne Canto (IKO-Clérain) dropped far behind in Gavel, in 14th place, more than three and a half minutes behind, leaving the world champion with only two points to his name.
