Pro Continental team Total Direct Energie has announced the re-signing of six riders for the upcoming season, including two-year contracts for Jérôme Cousin and Romain Sicard, and a one-year deal for Line Talamae.
The other three riders are Fabien Grelier, Paul Orselin, and Simon Cellier, with the first two under contract until the end of 2021 and Cellier until 2020. [The 32-year-old Estonian Taaramae is winning his fourth career national time trial title. Past victories include a stage win at the 2011 Vuelta a España while with Cofidis and the 2014 Giro d'Italia while with Katusha-Alpecin, from which he joined his current team in 2018.
Like Taramaye, 30-year-old Cousin, the 2018 Paris-Nice stage winner, will begin his third season with the team in 2020; Sicard, the 2009 under-23 road race world champion, is also 30 and joined Jean-Rene Bernadeau's team in 2014 He is one of the longest-serving members of the team, having joined in 2014.
