Swiss road race and time trial champion Marlen Reusser will join Bigla's women's team for 2020.
Reusser won her second national title of her career a day after winning the time trial title at this summer's European Games in Minsk, Belarus.
She also proved her improved ability against the clock at the World Championships in Yorkshire in September, finishing sixth in the elite women's individual time trial.
Reusser spent the 2019 season in the colors of the UCI's World Cycling Center team, which announced late last month that it will call itself Bigla Katusha next season after welcoming Katusha Sport as its 2020 co-sponsor and clothing supplier. The team will step up to the next level.
"Bigla is based in my home country of Switzerland and has several strong and experienced riders; I believe Bigla has the know-how to take athletes to the top of their sport and I look forward to being part of this professional and well-organized work environment."
"I am still developing as a rider and am still figuring out where my strengths lie. I like time trials in climbing and windy conditions, and I hope to improve in this discipline with the support of Bigla."
"Of course, I still have a lot to learn in road cycling and that is my goal for next year.
"We are very happy that Marlen has chosen to join our team to continue his journey to become a world-class time triallist," added team manager Thomas Campana.
"We hope and believe that we can provide a platform for her to become a medal-winning athlete at the Olympics and World Championships. This is a goal shared by the entire team and all of us will take on the challenge with great motivation."
