Procycling in Floyd will not return in 2020.

U.S. Continental team Floyd Pro Cycling will not continue in 2020 after its owner announced today that the team currently sponsored by Floyd Landis has been unable to find a title sponsor for the upcoming season.

With this news, the team, managed by Scott McFarlane and directed by Gord Fraser, started as the "Medic Silver Investments" club team in 2013 and continued to the continental level as "Silver Investments" through 2018. The jump-up program is now coming to an end.

Landis was to serve as title sponsor this season, using funds from a whistleblower lawsuit against former teammate Lance Armstrong. However, due to Canadian law, Landis could not use the cannabis/CBD business name "Floyd's of Leadville" as the title sponsor, and Floyd's Pro Cycling was born.

Landis' contract with McFarlane's CanAm management company, which had owned the team since 2013, was for one year only, and McFarlane and crew said in a statement posted on the team website that they were unable to find a replacement.

Floyd Pro Cycling will have 12 riders in 2019, most of them from the U.S. and Canada, with the exception of Australian Johnny Clark and Romanian Sergei Teftkov, who last week registered in Malaysia with Continental Program s Team Sapura for the upcoming season, he told Cycling News.

Nicholas Zukovsky, who joined the team in 2017, has previously announced that he will run at the Pro Continental level for Rally UHC next year. The fate of the team's other riders is not yet known, but according to Cycling News, two-time and current U.S. criterium champion Travis McCabe is in talks with a WorldTour team about the 2020 season

Others on the 2019 roster include Alex Cowan, Noah Granigan, Emile Jean, Carson Miles, Robin Plamondon, Noah Sims, Jacob Stitler, and a former 8th place overall finisher at this year's Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah. U.S. U23 champion Keegan Swirble, among others.

"There were so many great moments to choose from this year, with 34 wins and three national champions, but the most memorable of them all was Johnny Clark's win in Taiwan," McFarlane said in a statement, reflecting on the season's He recalled the highlights.

"Johnny brings informed leadership to the team that is fortunate to have him. He is able to share his knowledge in ways that make those around him better. His skills often make him a supporting player. So it will be great to see Johnny bring home the yellow jersey from Taiwan."

McFarlane also has a long list of team sponsors and supporters, especially Landis and the Bend, Oregon, man who provided temporary title sponsorship to allow the team to compete in the Tour of Utah after organizers demanded that Landis' name be removed from all brands. He also thanked attorney and businessman Roger Worthington.

"Floyd Landis supported our team at a time when road racing in North America needed it. His decision to become the title sponsor of our team was based on his loyalty to Gord Fraser and his sincere desire to help the young riders on our team."

"He is away from road racing for the time being, and becoming the title sponsor of our team was perhaps his last statement of intent before putting all his energy into his business. Each of us involved with this team is very fortunate to have met Floyd at this moment in his life. I wish everyone at Floyd of Leadville the best of luck."[23

McFarlane then added a "special nod" to Worthington.

"He has contributed more to North American cycling than most people know. He's supported races like the Dana Point Grand Prix and more recently the Cascade Classic, but look at the Worthington Brewing website. Look at the community activities that flow over there, the local musicians, the celestial gatherings, etc."
