It was announced that Emme de Gendt and Wesley Kreder have signed contract extensions and will remain with Wanty Gobert at least until the end of 2021.

The Belgian professional continental team (which will become Wanty Gobert Tormans from 2020) has extended both players' contracts for another year.

De Gendt, 25, will join Wanty in 2019 after three seasons with Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise, and will join Tim Mellier (Corendon-Circus) and Wanty in the Antwerp Port Epic one-day race in early September. teammate Timothy Dupont to score his first professional win of the season.

"I feel very good about my contract with Wanty-Gobert and am happy with the team's offer of an extension.

"I hope to make further progress next year and expect the same from the team. The transfer is promising," de Gendt said. This season, he finished second in Le Samyn and sixth in Paris-Tours, an impressive result, and he also finished the Tour de France, his first Grand Tour.
