CCC Liv Signs Nero and Jaskulska for 2020

CCC-Liv announced Wednesday that it has acquired Aurela Nerlo and Marta Jaskulska from the Polish Cycling School. The team has applied for a World Team license and will be registered in Poland in 2020.

Nerlo, 21, is a national under-23 time trial champion and third place finisher in the elite women's road race; in the 2019 season she won the youth class and was second overall in the Tour de Feminine.

"I am a young rider, learning every day and still discovering where my potential lies on the road bike. As a junior I have always done well in time trials. This year I trained specifically to improve my time trial even more and to improve in other disciplines as well. So my strength is not only in time trials but also in stage races and hard races. I am ambitious and I think I still have a chance to grow," Nello said.

Nerro is looking forward to learning from the experienced riders on the CCC-Liv team, such as Marianne Vos and Ashley Moolman Pasio. 2020 roster includes Evy Kuikpers, Sabrina Stultiens, Valerie Demey and Soraya Paladin.

"Moving to CCC-Liv is a dream come true. 'I'm so excited to be part of the best women's team next season. At the same time, it is a big leap for me because I have never raced at such a high level. Everything is organized professionally and the atmosphere is great."

Jaskulska, 19, has competed against professionals in the Healthy Aging Tour and Gracia Orlova. She finished sixth in the elite women's road race at the national championships.

"I am very happy with the opportunities I am being offered right now. When I was younger I said my goal was to one day run for a professional team." Now, that time has come and I want to challenge myself to succeed."

"I still have a long way to go and I have to work hard. But I can reassure cycling fans not only in Poland but all over the world. I also think it is important to have fun. If you enjoy what you do and protect it, you will improve."[15
