Hannah Burns and Tiffany Cromwell return to Canyon-SRAM in 2020.

Canyon-SRAM announced Saturday via its social media channels that Hannah Burns and Tiffany Cromwell will continue racing in the program through 2020; both are veteran riders on the team that signed on in 2016, with the Tokyo Olympics as their goal. The team's goal is to compete in the Tokyo Olympics.

"I signed a three-year contract with the team in 2017 and the decision was easy. The support from my partners has been incredible and I am looking forward to next year, an Olympic year, with them and with the team," Barnes said.

Canyon-SRAM was formed in 2016 from the previous T-Mobile, Team Columbia, HTC-Highroad, Specialized-Lululemon, and Velocio-SRAM.

Barnes spent two years with Team UnitedHealthcare in the US before moving to the first year of new title sponsor Canyon-SRAM. He has had many successes with this team, including the British national title (2016), a stage win at the Giro Rosa (2017), and two stage wins and the overall win at the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana (2018). He was also part of the Canyon-SRAM team that won the team time trial world title in Innsbruck in 2019.

Burns is aiming to make the team selection for the Tokyo Olympics in July, where she will likely play a key role in supporting Lizzie Deignan.

Although she joined Canyon-SRAM in 2016, Cromwell was also a member of existing programs Specialized-lululemon and Velocio-SRAM. She has won at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, has been on the podium at GP Plouay and Sparkassen Giro, and was fifth at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships.

In Canyon-Slam, Cromwell is often a mentor to younger riders and captain of the on-road team. He is a versatile rider who competes in one-day and stage races, but is passionate about the spring classics.

"Why change a good thing? I have a three-year contract with the team starting in 2018. I have a great partner who I love working with, a great group of girls, and I am well supported and constantly challenged to improve on and off the bike," Cromwell said.
