Hansgrohe Extends Sponsorship Agreement with Peter Sagan's Bora-Hansgrohe Team

Hansgrohe has extended its sponsorship of the Bora Hansgrohe (open in new tab) men's World Tour team for another two years, it was announced Tuesday as players gathered in the Bavarian Alps for a get-together and preseason testing.

The German bathroom fitting company has sponsored the German team since 2017, when it signed Peter Sagan (open in new tab) and stepped up from the Professional Continental level to the World Tour.

Last year, kitchen company Bora agreed to extend its own sponsorship deal, which means the team will be known as Bora Hansgrohe for at least the next two seasons. Sagan is under contract with the team until the end of 2021.

"We are proud of the team's outstanding performance, which has benefited our brand Hansgrohe in addition to our sporting success. Hans-Jürgen Kalmbach, CEO of Hansgrohe, added: "The positive impact of the Hansgrohe brand and its reputation made us decide to renew the contract.

"Together with the team, we aim to continue this success story and look forward to two more seasons as sponsors and partners of the Bora Hansgrohe team. We wish the riders and management further success."

Beulah Hansgrohe is having its most successful season since Denk launched the team (then known as NetApp) 10 years ago. With riders like Sam Bennett, Pascal Ackermann, Emmanuel Buchmann, and Max Schachmann reaching new levels of success, they have 47 wins in 2019, four of which have come from Sagan.

They finished the year second in the UCI World Tour rankings, but in announcing the extension of their sponsorship, Denk made clear their ambition to become one of the top teams in the world.

"The team is very pleased to extend our contract with our partner Hansgrohe. It is a testament to the hard work of the riders and the entire team to achieve our common goals this season and to be successful on the road," Denk said.

." With strong partners Bora and Hansgrohe on our side, we are on our way to becoming the number one cycling team in the world." Hansgrohe won the title for the second time in 2017.
