Litte's impressive new steel gravel bike

Litte combines proven steel tube profiles with modern design details to offer an attractive new gravel bike.

Satyr, an American boutique bike brand, combines steel ride quality with all modern technical requirements in a gravel bike.

With dimensions and angles gleaned from respected bike designer Tom Kellogg, the Litte Satyr comes in six sizes, from XS to XXL. For example, the head tube angle varies from 71.5 degrees on the XS Satayer to 73 degrees on the XXL.

The construction of the bike consists of Reynolds 725 steel tubing. This tubeset shape not only gives the bike a classic aesthetic, but also provides the vibration damping properties for which high quality steel is highly valued in bicycle design.

On gravel roads, the steel main frame and rear end of this litte satelite absorb the ground shaking of small bumps that can tire out gravel bikers on long off-road trips.

Enve's carbon fiber fork ensures a lightweight front end that easily lifts off small roots and other trail features. At the rear, a delicate seatstay bridge converts pedal input while minimizing lateral flex in the rear end, maximizing responsiveness off the saddle.

The Satyrs' frames have 43 mm tire clearance and flat-mount disc brakes to ensure stable and safe deceleration on gravel.

Completing the sleek aesthetics of the Satyrs is internal cable routing, with three bottle cage mounts to reduce the risk of running out of water on big gravel scraping days.

Adventure riders who want to use the Satyr for more than a 100-mile Saturday bike ride can use the fender mounts to transform it into a winter commuter-friendly bike.

Litte has positioned its new Satyr gravel bike frame at $2,250, with complete bike options starting at $3,800.
