UCI Approves Wallonie Bruxelles' 2020 License

The UCI Licensing Committee announced Friday that it has confirmed the status of Belgium's Wallonie Bruxelles as a Pro Team (formerly Pro Continental) for 2020.

In the previous announcement of the 2020 Pro Team and World Team, the team was listed under the name Bingoal-WB pending.

The team was the last to be registered among the World Team, Pro Team, and Women's World Team for the upcoming season. The Continental team will be announced in January.

Wallonie Bruxelles announced the final 2020 team on Thursday, selecting eight new players and 12 returning players.

Newcomers include Jonas Castric and Luc Wirtgen from the team's development team, Roompot-Charles refugees Sean de Bie and Arjen Rivins, Jere Vanendert (Lotto Soudal), Laurens Uys (Lotto Soudal U23), Boris Valle (Wanty-Gobert), and Joel Suter of Across-Thames.

Returning riders Kevin Istad, Elliot Rieter, Kenny Morey, Julien Mortier, Axel Momella, Matthijs Perchens, Dimitri Paiskens, Baptiste Plancale, Ludovic Robée, Franklin Six, Lionel Taminiau, and Tom Wirtgen.
