Deceuninck-QuickStep announced a two-year partnership with Wahoo Fitness, which has signed a contract to supply Elemnt GPS computers and Tickr heart rate monitors through the end of the 2021 season.
The deal brings the Belgian team's partnership with Taipei-based Brighton to just one year.
"We have been really happy since we started using Wahoo's connected cycling computers," said Deceuninck-QuickStep head coach Koen Pelgrim.
"The Elemnt unit is very user-friendly and the menus are intuitive, making it very easy to set up training sessions and programs. Likewise, the interface with the mobile app is excellent, allowing riders to easily upload their data.
"We are always looking to analyze our riders' performance and improve where we can, and Wahoo's product setup method makes that very easy.
However, Wahoo's product portfolio is not limited to GPS cycling computers and heart rate monitors; Wahoo's ecosystem of peripherals, including three different Turbo Trainers, a gradient simulator, and dedicated fans, has made the indoor and Wahoo is equally well known in the indoor cycling market due to its ecosystem of peripherals, including three Turbo Trainers, a gradient simulator, and dedicated fans.
Wahoo will supply Deceuninck-QuickStep with computers and heart rate monitors, but Cyclingnews understands that Tacx will continue to supply the team's turbo trainers.
"From their nearly unmatched strength in one-day races to their strong campaign in the Grand Tours, this team has been one of the best in the world for nearly two decades," said Wahoo CEO Mike Saturnia.
"We are honored to join them as they prepare for a new season with iconic race performances. Our Elemnt cycling computers and TICKR heart rate monitors are easy to use and provide the data riders need to track and maximize their performance."
