Each year Specialized releases a special edition kit to coincide with the Tour Down Under. This year, the collection from Oz is inspired by the Australian budgie, a colorful long-tailed macaw that is one of many local species affected by the ongoing wildfire crisis.
Specialized has also pledged to donate US$100,000 to WIRES Australian Wildlife Rescue, which is working tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate animals affected by the fires, upon the launch of this collection.
This year's Tour Down Under collection includes special editions of Evade and Prevail helmets, S-Works 7 shoes, socks, and caps, and the Deceuninck- at the Schwalbe Classic criterium on 19 The package includes an Allez Sprint Disc to be used by Deceuninck-QuickStep and Bora-Hansgrohe in the Schwalbe Classic Criterium on the 19th.
Bora-Hansgrohe rider Ide Schelling's new Allez Sprint Disc was found being serviced by one of the team mechanics at the TDU Race Village.
