De Rosa's New Track Bike Spotted at Tour Down Under

A week into the Tour Down Under, a still-unannounced De Rosa track bike was spotted in Adelaide, and with the 2020 Tokyo Olympics just a few months away, Cycling News is reporting that Elia Viviani will use it to win gold again at the Olympics. The bike will reportedly be used to win gold again at the Olympics.

DeRosa Bikes, the bike sponsor of Viviani's new team, Cofidis Solutions Creditz, will step up to the WorldTour for the 2020 season, and the Italian sprinter will be looking to defend the omnium gold medal he won in 2016. He will be looking to defend it, but is expected to rack up sprint victories as he takes on the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France.

Looking at the list of UCI-approved frames and forks, it appears that two more have recently been added, simply named Track1 and Track2. Judging from Viviani's recent tweets, it appears that he has been using these bikes for several days.

Viviani's Madison partner in Tokyo, Simone Consonni, is also in Adelaide for the Tour Down Under, and the two, along with Michal Morkov of Detunink Quickstep, will be competing Friday night in the Advertiser's Track Down and Under II.

The mechanics at Cofidis Solution Credit have prepared a third De Rosa track bike for Fabio Sabatini.
