Fernando Gaviria (UAE Team Emirates) took the overall lead in the 2020 Vuelta a San Juan after winning the sprint race on stage 2.

The overall battle will officially begin on Tuesday with the stage 3 individual time trial.

The 15.5km race against the clock will start in Ulm and finish in Punta Negra.

Ruben Simao (Tavira Maria Nova Lounge Hotel) will start at 16:56 local time, with Gaviria being the last rider at 19:51 local time.
