Organizer Christian Prudhomme admitted that the Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège events in late April are "complicated" by the coronavirus pandemic.

ASO, organizers of the Ardennes Classic and Tour de France, pushed for Paris-Nice last week despite the withdrawal of seven WorldTour teams beforehand and increasingly strict restrictions on rallies in France. Two more teams left the race, ultimately finishing a day earlier than planned, on Saturday.
After the race, Prudhomme admitted that the ASO's next race, Paris-Roubaix (April 12), was likely to be postponed due to the Covid 19 epidemic, and that later the ASO's Belgian races, Flèche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege (April 22 and 26) risked the same fate, he added.
"It is very difficult to predict. The situation is changing every minute. Prudhomme told RTBF (open in new tab), "I can only report what I have heard. If so, the organization of the Belgian Classic will be very complicated."
France closed most public spaces and non-essential businesses this weekend following the Covid 19 outbreak. Prudhomme only admitted to postponing Paris-Roubaix, but admitted that it was difficult to imagine the race taking place.
"My words are not official, but it is difficult to see how Roubaix could be any different from any other race," he said.
