The 111th Milan-San Remo may not be taking place this weekend, but that doesn't mean you can't get lost in the monuments of Italian cycling.
The race has a long history of drama dating back to the first official race on April 14, 1907; in 1949, the finish was moved to Via Roma, in the heart of San Remo.
Milan-San Remo was often a race for sprinters, and the addition of Poggio in 1960 and Cipressa in 1982 changed little.
