Mikkel Nieve (Mitchelton Scott) was named World's Best Domestique as part of Cycling News' special "Domestique Week" content.
Nieve won the opening round of the week-long Twitter poll, beating Mikhail Morkov (Deceuninck-Quickstep) in the final voting on Friday and Saturday.
The 35-year-old Basque climber received 55.8% of the vote in the final decider.
The two riders won their respective semifinal ballots after winning the opening round to advance to the final. Nieve was joined by Morkov, Tony Martin (Jumbo Visma), Daniel Oss (Bora-Hansgrohe), Tim Declercq (Deceuninck-Quickstep), Andrei Amador (Team Ineos), Adam Hansen (Lot Soudal), Stefan Kung ( Groupama-FDJ) were named "Best Domestique in the World" by Cycling News magazine.

While domestiques are often thought to play an important role in sprints, cobbled classics, and chasing breakaway groups, they also play an important role in the high mountains of the Grand Tours.
Nieve is rarely in the limelight, but after joining the Australian WorldTour team from Team Sky/Ineos, he is a highly regarded member of the Mitchelton-Scott team.
