UK-based women's team CAMS-Tifosi has confirmed that its sponsorship has not been affected by the global COVID-19 epidemic. While corporate cost-cutting has affected some of the world's top men's and women's teams, CAMS-Tifosi's three-year sponsorship deal remains intact.
"In light of the ongoing global coronavirus crisis, several other sponsors of the sport have felt the need to reduce or scale back their sponsorships, but CAMS is very much beyond the current situation to see the team compete successfully in future events looking forward to it," read a press statement on Tuesday. In the meantime, CAMS is working to support the government's message to "Stay At Home, Protect The NHS, Save Lives."

Several men's WorldTour teams, including the CCC team, Astana, Lotto Soudal, Bahrain McLaren, and Michelon Scott's men's and women's teams, have reportedly had to volunteer or accept pay cuts for their riders and staff. The new season is expected to be a good one for the men's team.
Ronnie Lauke, president of the newly formed team union, expressed concern that several women's teams are in crisis and may not survive the pandemic crisis as business suffers, sponsorship funding is cut, and jobs are lost.

The UCI has suspended all racing until June 1, meaning that all Women's World Tour races have been cancelled or postponed until the British Women's Tour in mid-June.
The CAMS-Tifosi team was recently confirmed to have earned UCI Women's Continental Team status for the 2020 racing season and was expected to be on the start line for races like the Amstel Gold Race Ladies Edition. Like all the other teams, the girls are now waiting for the current blockade to be lifted and the race to resume.
