Team Ineos has announced the lineup for its first e-ride and e-race to be held on the virtual platform Zwift on Sunday, April 12 at 5 p.m. (12 p.m. EDT).

The riders will be divided into six mini-teams led by Tour de France champions Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas, and Egan Bernal, Giro d'Italia winner Richard Carapas, former world champion Michal Kwiatkowski, and Tao Geoghegan Hart. They will be divided into.

"eRide is an opportunity to participate in a group ride with the team riders and staff, with routes suitable for all abilities," explained Team Ineos.

"Riders on Wahoo KICKRs will be the stage for a battle to determine the winner of the team's first eRace, which can be seen on Team INEOS' social media channels.

With real-life racing suspended until June 1 due to the coronavirus outbreak, many teams are organizing and participating in virtual rides and races. They will also participate in the Digital Switzerland 5, which will be held on the Rouvy platform from April 22 to 26.

At Sunday's Zwift event, Team Ineos will be on an e-ride starting at 3 pm BST/10 am EDT, and Zwifers can join the team riders on the Watopia route.

The team stated that the ride will last approximately 40 minutes to one hour on routes suitable for all Zwift ability categories A-D, with one Team Ineos rider in each group.

Team Ineos will face off in a Zwift race at 5 pm BST/12 pm EDT, and fans can watch a live stream of the event.
