A year in the life of Team Ineos Pinarello Dogma F12

On Friday, Pinarello and Team Ineos celebrated the first anniversary of the Pinarello Dogma F12. Besides the big win by Egan Bernal at the Tour de France, there have been a lot of big events for the team and the bike since the first race at the Tour de Yorkshire.

Here we look back at the Dogma F12's success with Team Ineos over the past year and pick out the top five moments in the bike's short history.

Shortly after the bike's launch on May 1, the new Team Ineos headed to the north of England for the Tour de Yorkshire.

Versatile fastman Chris Lawless's consistent racing earned him three podium finishes in four days.

Lawless, an Englishman, carried his slim advantage into the final day in Leeds, where he finished with Eddie Dunbar to take the overall win ahead of Greg Van Avermaat. A winning start for the Pinarello Dogma F12.

The Criterium du Dauphiné was supposed to be the final tune-up for four-time Tour winner Chris Froome before he returns to the fray in July. He was in eighth place overall after three days of racing when disaster struck while riding the stage four time trial in reconditioned conditions.

Froom crashed on the descent and hit the wall. Egan Bernal and Geraint Thomas rode strong to finish first and second in the Tour.

However, the team recovered from Froome's brutal crash, with Wout Poels winning the final stage to the Pipai summit finish, and Dylan Van Barre beating Jack Haig on the final day.

Colombian Egan Bernal won the overall in his second Tour de France appearance, giving his team its biggest victory of the season. The 22-year-old cut into Julien Alaphilippe's lead on stage 15 in Foix and stage 18 in Valloire before winning stage 19 in Tignes.

Bernal started on the Pass d'Iseran and by the time he reached the summit, he was two minutes ahead of Alaphilippe and one minute ahead of his other rivals. Soon after, a landslide blocked the valley road, and the stage was eventually cancelled. Bernal took the yellow by 45 seconds and was in contention for the overall win.

Bernal celebrated his victory in Paris with a custom-painted Dogma F12 signed by himself and Fausto Pinarello. However, one of the early season talking points was Froome's return to racing.

After months of rehabilitation following his injury at the Dauphiné, Froome made his comeback at the UAE Tour.

Although it was not a great result for Froome, this impressive comeback was a major milestone for the 34-year-old.
