Logrich The new calendar should be considered the best

Vuelta a España champion Primoš Roglic spoke about his current situation in the virtual race of the Jumbo Visma eCompetition. The Slovenian commented on how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting his home country and also reaffirmed his aim for the Tour de France.

Due to technical difficulties, Roglic was unable to participate in the team's race on the Zwift platform, which was won by Mike Tunisen, but he spoke about the pandemic and his upcoming race schedule, WielerFlits (opens in new tab) reported.

"Things are getting better here," he said. You can cycle outside, the stores are open again."

"I hope everything will be back to normal as soon as possible. My family is fine, everyone is healthy. It will be nice to spend more time with them."

As for changes to the World Tour calendar, Roglic's goals remain the same as they were before the pandemic rocked his season. He will be looking to win his third Tour de France overall. Roglic said that he foresees the race going according to the UCI's plan first and foremost.

"I'm looking forward to [the Tour]. There will be some improvisation, so we'll see what happens. But it's good that we have a calendar now." But it's good that we have a calendar. I hope the Tour will happen, but it's not up to me to decide if this race will go on or not. We should always assume the best. I hope everyone enjoys the race."

Mathieu Heyboer, the team's head of performance, also spoke about the World Tour calendar from August to November, adding that the condensed schedule makes it impossible for many riders to stick to their race plans.

"Some riders were competing in two Grand Tours. Now it is impossible to combine the Giro and the Vuelta. It's also very difficult to combine the Giro and the Tour. It is also very difficult to combine the Giro and the Tour. It's also very difficult to combine the Giro and the Tour.

"You don't know how everyone is going to be. Usually you have to do a lot of races to prepare. But I am confident that with training we can reach a very high level."
