Laka's newest insurance policy, available for only 1 pound for the rest of the year.

In response to the growing number of people riding motorcycles, Laka has unveiled an all-new insurance policy aimed at providing affordable coverage for all. Laka Club is an insurance policy offering third-party coverage and was announced on Friday. The premium is EGP 1 and will cover until the end of 2020.

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, commuters are trying to avoid the risks associated with short-distance public transportation. Combined with a decrease in the number of cars on the road, the use of bicycles for practicality and mobility has skyrocketed.

Whether cyclists need insurance is a hotly debated issue, and while there are many benefits to having insurance, it is not required by law. As a result, many new cyclists take to the streets without the topic even coming to mind.

In the same week that Brompton's CEO called on politicians to invest in cycling infrastructure across the UK, Laka co-founder and CEO Tobias Taupitz recognized that the metaphorical cycling landscape is changing.

"This is a time of change and a great opportunity for cycling," he explained. With the government's commitment to getting more people on bikes and the recent surge in bike sales across the UK, "the Laka Club will help cyclists protect their commute without costing them money.

Riders who buy insurance from the Laka Club can purchase third-party liability insurance for £1, which covers everything from commuting to group rides and races. As with all third-party insurance, the rider's own belongings are not covered, but in the unlikely event that the rider causes injury or damage to others or their property, they are covered for up to £2 million.

The policy covers European-based cyclists for up to 60 days of international travel.

In return, Raka asks for permission to send marketing emails.15]

The policy supports mental health by providing cyclists with access to psychological support, treatment, and many other benefits that aid recovery.
