This week we talk about many races, from Strade Bianche to Milan-Torino and this weekend's Milan-San Remo to Chris Froome and Eoghan Bernal's latest adventure in France.
Hear from Froome and Danish rider Jakob Fuglsang. But it was the sprint finish of the first stage of the Tour de Pollogne that sent Fabio Jacobsen to the hospital and into a coma. The crash occurred after Dylan Groenewegen changed his line and pushed the quick-stepping Jacobsen into the barriers. Jacobsen not only ran into the barrier, he went through it. Honestly, it was one of the most shocking crashes I have seen in years. Several riders went down, race officials were knocked unconscious, and Groenewegen was disqualified and fined. He could face further punishment from the UCI.
We analyze the incident and talk to former sprinter Robbie McEwen about road safety and how the UCI and race organizers must listen to riders to improve conditions.
We also look back at the thrilling Strade Bianche and discuss whether Wout Van Aert is currently the most complete rider on the World Tour. We head to France to narrow down Team Ineos' Tour de France squad, hear from Chris Froome, and pick a favorite to win Saturday's Milan-San Remo.
