Juan Anroy, who crashed at the Tabor World Cup, is recovering from disc brake damage.

Shirin van Unrooy of Telenet Baloise Lions is recovering from a crash she was involved in just after the start of the elite women's race at the opening round of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup in Tabor, Czech Republic, on Sunday.The 18-year-old Dutchwoman, suffered a deep gash on her forearm, possibly caused by disc brakes, and a broken finger.

Van Anlooy sent out a message on social networking sites on Monday, informing her followers of the extent of her injuries.

"I fell during the World Cup in Tabor and was sent to the hospital. 'Yesterday [Sunday] evening I underwent surgery to repair a deep wound on my arm. [Fortunately, there is no serious damage to the muscles or tendons, and the only thing that is broken is my ring finger. I have to stay in this hospital for a few days, but I really hope I can go home soon," van Anlooy continued, and according to AD.nl, her team is hoping to transfer her to a hospital in Belgium or the Netherlands to eliminate the language barrier.

"Thanks for all the kind messages. I don't know how long it will take me to recover from this crash, but I will be back."

Juan Anroy became junior cyclocross world champion in February in Dubendorf, Switzerland. She is also the 2019 road junior European time trial champion, finished second in the junior time trial at the World Championships later that year, and signed a two-year contract with an American WorldTour team to join the women's Trek Segafredo team on the road next season She will be a member of the team.

She has already spent the second half of the 2020 season as a stagiaire for the team, riding strongly in the Tour de l'Ardèche, Trophée des Glimpse, and Brabants Pile.
