The end of the 2020-21 cyclocross season is approaching, and although the season was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the UCI Cyclocross World Championships will be held on January 30-31.

Dutch leader and world champion Mathieu van der Pol will once again face longtime rival Wout van Aert of Belgium for the men's crown.

In the last UCI World Cup final in Ouvélaise, Van Aert defeated Van der Poel and world champion Alvarado beat Brand.

But the big four riders are not all. The Belgian team includes Eli Iserbitt, Toon Aerts, Laurens Sweek, and Michael Vanthourenhout. Tom Pidcock is the British challenger, Zdenek Stival is from the Czech Republic, and Heinrich Haussler will debut from Australia.

On the women's side, Marianne Vos, Yara Kastelain, Denise Betsema, and Annemarie Werst will lead the Dutch team, Sanne Kant will lead the Belgian team, and Clara Honsinger will lead the American team.
