Bianchi today introduced a new model in its gravel bike lineup. The Impulso Pro brings the Italian brand's road racing heritage to dirt roads, with a platform that is more race-ready than the existing Arcadex model.
The full carbon frame weighs in at 1,100 grams, providing a lightweight platform that can be used on both pavement and dirt roads. It also features faster geometry compared to the Arcadex. The new bike has a shorter wheelbase and steeper head tube and seat angle, and is intended to be the best gravel bike for those who like to go fast.
While adventure riding and bikepacking are growing in popularity, gravel racing is growing at an equally fast pace due to the popularity of races like Unbound and SBT GRVL. Because Bianchi remains committed to its racing heritage, it cannot accommodate riders who require large tire clearances; it can only fit tires up to 700x37 mm, and it is not possible to fit tires up to 700x37 mm.
Fans of Bianchi's signature celeste color will be happy with the traditional paint job, but there is also a green sage option. Six frame sizes are available, ranging from 48-58 cm.
Currently, the bike is only available in a £3,400 build kit. This build consists of an 11-speed Shimano GRX600 1X drivetrain and Shimano disc brakes. The bike wears tubeless-compatible Velomann wheels with 24mm profiles, 32 spoke holes, and Formula hubs. The seatpost, handlebar, and stem are also provided by Velomann.
WTB supplies 37mm Riddler Comp tires with 30TPI casings. The saddle is a 245 x 145 mm Selle Italia ModelX Superflow FeC.
