The first three stages of Paris-Nice were unpredictable, and many GC contenders have already made significant time reductions.
The Jumbo Visma trio of Primoš Roglic, race leader Christophe Laporte, and Wout Van Aert will start at the back of the pack while the 1-2-3 finish on day one puts them at the top of the rankings. The trio will start at 15:41, 15:43, and 15:45 Central European Time.
Thomas De Gendt (Lotto Soudal) and Rohan Dennis (Jumbo Visma) will start at 13:13 and 13:21, respectively.
João Almeida (UAE Team Emirates), Yves Lampert (Quick Step - Alfa Vinyl) and Stephane Kühn (Groupama - FDJ) will start consecutively at 14:43-14:46, which is important for the day.
UAE Tour Time Trial winner Stefan Bissegger (EF Education-Easy Post) will start at 15:07. Simon Yates (BikeExchange-Jayco), Adam Yates (Ineos Grenadiers), and Jack Haig (Bahrain Victorious) will start 10 minutes after Bissegger.
The last 15 riders will start 2 minutes apart, while the rest will start 1 minute apart. The trio of Jumbo Visma, Nairo Quintana (Arkea Samsic), and Alexandre Brasov (Bora Hansgrohe) departed for that latter stage just after 15:15.
Ben O'Connor (AG2R Citroen) is DNS after finishing 11th overall on Wednesday due to the flu, and defending champion Max Schachmann (Bora-Hansgrohe) will also miss the race due to illness.
