Marianne Vos will miss Sunday's Amstel Gold Race in order to concentrate on the Paris-Roubaix Fam a week later.
Vos won her first Amstel race last year in her native Holland, but will not be defending her title.
Instead, she will put her heart and soul into adding Paris-Roubaix, where she was runner-up in the inaugural race last year, to her illustrious resume.
On Saturday, Jumbo Visma announced the lineup for Sunday's Amstel Gold Race Ladies Edition. Instead, American rider Colin Labecki, who finished sixth in 2017, will lead the line.
Anna Henderson and Lierjanne Marx, as well as Anouska Koster, Carline Swinkels, and Teuntje Bakehouse are also members.
Vos, who won her first sprint from a select group last year, is in good physical condition but has decided to sit out with an eye on next weekend.
"Marianne was second in Paris-Roubaix last year. She has decided to miss this weekend's Amstel Gold race," said team director Lieselo Decroix."
"Marianne would rather train so that she can be fit and rested at the start of Paris-Roubaix."
"She is a very good athlete and she is very happy with her training.
Vos is not the only big name to miss Sunday's race, as Tour de Flanders champion Lotte Kopecky (SD Walks) has also chosen to focus on Paris-Roubaix, while Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) is out of shape.
