A series of one-day races in Belgium, France, and Italy during March and April will bring four monuments throughout the spring: Milan-San Remo, Tour de Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and Liege-Bastogne-Liege.

On Wednesday, riders will take on La Flèche Wallonne and La Flèche Wallonne Féminine in Uilly, south of Liège.

The men will battle over 202km from Bregny to Mul de Huy (1.3km, 9.4%).

The Côte d'Eref (2km, 5.8%) and Côte de Chreve (1.4km, 7.9%) will also be climbed three times each before the finish, but the race will come down to the final Mule de Huy.

The women's race is 133 km but tackles a similar route. However, it includes the same three-lap finishing circuit, and the three climbs of the Mur de Huy will decide the winner.

Three-time winner Julien Alaphilippe (Quick Step Alfa Vinyl) leads the men's race, with Tadej Pogachar, Marc Hirschi (UAE Team Emirates), Tom Pidcock, Michaud Kwiatkowski ( Ineos Grenadier), Alejandro Valverde (Movistar), Benoit Kosnefrois (AG2R Citroen) and other big names.

The women will look to succeed seven-time champion Anna van der Breggen, with Demi Volering, Ashley Moolman Pasio (SD Works), Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon Slam), Annemieke van Fruten (Movistar), Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek Segafredo), and Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (FDJ Nouvelle Aquitaine Futuroscope) are among the leading candidates.
