The Spring Classics season concludes with the final of the Ardennes Triple Crown, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femme.

The men's peloton will cover 257 km through the hills of Wallonia, while the women's peloton will cover 142 km in northern Bastogne.

Although current champion Tadey Pogachar (UAE Team Emirates) will miss the race due to illness, both races, from 2021 women's winner Demi Vollering (SD Works) to world champion Julien Alaphilippe (Quick Step Alfa Vinyl) will still have a number of key athletes competing.

Below are their comments ahead of Sunday morning's races.

"I've put Wednesday's 4th place result behind me. I'm focused and happy. The weather is good, the team is solid, and we want to give our maximum

"Well, above all [for Pogachar] it's bad news. I'm not really thinking about that, I'm concentrating on my race.

"The UAE still brings a very strong team, so we will have to see if they want to control things or if they want to make the race difficult like the other teams. We need to be prepared for a lot of different scenarios.

"Lemko is a first-time entrant, but we already know he has the ability to win. Let's see what happens in the finale. If he wins, I will be very happy."

"I really like this race. It's always fun to race here. It's a hard race and that's also what I like about it. It's always motivating and it's where it all started for me."

"I think you need to feel how the race will go, but I think it will be a hard and aggressive race. It's also a race where you can't hide too much, which is also important here."

"Hopefully it goes well. Last night was not so good. Unfortunately I didn't even make it to Frèche and I was vomiting all night. Honestly, I haven't had a very good week.

"I came here all ready for Flèche and Liège, but after what happened overnight it's going to be a very difficult race.

"Hopefully we can make it (to the final). I think there will be a headwind on the way back, so hopefully the race will be a little slower and we can get as far as we can. Shape is very good, so hopefully we can pull something out of the bag today.

There are a couple of other riders who are in good shape, so we will try to have a good race.

"I'm not stressed. I like this race. It's a super good opportunity to fight again."

"Second place in Flèche gave me confidence. It was only the second time I've been on the podium without running away. This race is a bit longer on the climbs, which suits me. That's why I like this race the best in the Ardennes."

"I never wait until the last few hundred meters. For me, I use the climbs and we have a rider on the team, Arlenis Sierra, who can climb very fast. She is a good card."

"Yes, the team has changed, but in the end there are more important things than cycling. It's just a race. We have a strong team here. Now our tactics are more open. Because we have a lot of good riders. Maybe not the top favorites, but a lot of good riders. So we're going to race aggressive today

"I'm in a position to be protected, but I want to give everybody a chance. I want to race with them, but a lot of the riders on the team have a chance to get a result today."

"It was a big block [of racing], but an exciting block. After Liège - Bastogne - Liège, it's good to take a break."

"There are a lot of uphills and it is difficult without good weather. The distance and history of this race shows that the stronger riders will win and as a collective team we want to show our strength in the final and try to win.

"You never know what can happen from the top of La Redoute. There are 11km from the top of La Roche aux Faucons and there was always movement of riders.

"We've been racing with a small group to win, but you can also go it alone. You just have to keep an open mind and feel the race"

"I think there are a lot of different developments in this race. It's a hard course, especially in the middle part of the race, so we have a strong team and I think we can make a big step forward with an early attack.

"I think we have more cards (than Lian). Everyone has their own strengths, so there are a lot of different developments."

"The wind is against us from Bastogne to the hill zone, so it's a 'walk in the park' so to speak up there. After that, we'll see what happens. I think there are still teams like Movistar and Bahrain that would benefit from an open race."
