UAE Team Emirates Announces Full Tour de France Lineup. A mix of climbers and rulers will support Tadey Pogachar, who will be aiming for his third consecutive victory.

Pogachar will be supported by Rafal Mayka, American Brandon McNulty, Marc Soler, Matteo Trentin, Vegard Stake Rengen, George Bennett, and Mikkel Bjarg.

"This is my third time in the Tour already and I'm really looking forward to it. cWe've worked really hard as a team for a year to prepare for this, and I'm really looking forward to it.

"This has been a positive year for the team and we hope to continue that in this Tour. It will not be easy and there will be many challenges ahead.

UAE Team Emirates suffered COVID-19 infections at the Tour de Suisse and Tour de Slovenia, but Bjarg recovered quickly and the team's Tour de France squad is perfectly balanced for the flat weeks and mountain stage tests.

Trentin is an experienced road captain and a classics contender. Stijk Lengen and Bjarg will provide more support in the hectic first week and cobbled stages, and Pogachar and UAE Team Emirates will do the hard work early on when they need to defend the yellow jersey. McNulty, Soler, and Maja will provide crucial support in the mountains, and McNulty can shine in the overall classification if needed.

Pogachar was often isolated in his first Tour de France victory in 2020, but with the addition of Soler and Bennett and the development of McNulty, he will be one of the strongest teams in the 2022 race and can take on Jumbo Visma and Ineos Grenadier

"The tool is a very powerful tool.

"The challenge to win the Tour gets harder every year. All we can do is prepare as best we can and trust that the team can give its best as a group," said team manager Joxen Matthysin Fernandez.

"Our ambition is to win the overall with Pogachar and we have built a strong team around him. We had a great group last year and the base of the team is similar to last year, but we have added strong players in key areas.

"We have surveyed the route and it is far from easy parkour. The level of our rivals is also very high, but we are confident and know that a big result is within the capabilities of Tadej and the team."
