Israel PremiereTech Announces New Tour de France Kit "Field of Dreams"

Israel Premiere Tech, led by Chris Froome at Friday's Tour de France, has unveiled a special edition kit to support cycling in Rwanda.

The new clothing is part of a fundraising campaign to build a "Field of Dreams" cycle center on 16 acres of land in Rwanda's Bugesera district.

The center is expected to provide a pump track, race track, and future cycling academy for 120,000 students in the area.

The Tour de France-inspired Racing for Change special edition racing kit was manufactured by apparel brand Jinga and designed by Stijn Dossche of Belgium-based Stycle Design.

The jersey design was inspired by the Race for Change project, using the Rwandan art of imigongo as the hero of the jersey design, and the colors and styling are a tribute to the Rwandan landscape and greenery.

"Growing up in Kenya, the bicycle has always been a symbol of freedom for me," says Chris Froome. Growing up in Kenya, the bicycle has always meant freedom to me," says Chris Froome. Growing up, there was no infrastructure, no support for young people. This is the kind of opportunity that allows young people interested in cycling to pursue their dreams."

"We want to engage the entire global cycling community to raise money and help build this much needed cycling infrastructure in Africa," says team owner Sylvan Adams.

The first phase of construction includes a pump track and a 1.2 km race and training track and is expected to cost 300,000 euros. The team also plans to unveil a matching bike design in the coming days ahead of the Grand Depart in Copenhagen.
