On Thursday, June 30, the 33rd edition of the Giro d'Italia Donne 2022 will kick off with a grande palto in Sardinia.
The 10-day stage race will cover 1,002.6 km across five Italian regions: Sardinia, Emilia-Romagna, Lombardia, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Veneto.
In 2022, all 10 stages of the Giro d'Italia Donne will be broadcast live for two hours to Europe and the rest of the world.
There will be two road stages before moving to the mainland for a rest day on July 3.
The peloton will face a variety of terrain, including the Apennines, the Alps, and the main hills of the Dolomites, with three decisive mountain days in Stage 7: Prevalle - Passo Maniva, Stage 8: Rovereto - Ardeno: Stage 7. Passo Maniva, stage 8: Rovereto - Ardeno, and stage 9: San Michele Alladige: Stage 9 is from San Michele Alladige to San Lorenzo d'Orsino, and the race concludes in Padua on July 10.
Two-time winner Annemiek van Vleuten (Movistar) is a specialist in challenging climbs and time trials.

The 2022 Giro d'Italia Donne will be broadcast on Eurosport/Eurosport 1 in the UK and throughout Europe and in 16 Asian countries.
